On January 29, 2009, SA-TECH President/CEO, Timothy J. Adams, on invitation by Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), participated in a roundtable discussion with the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee on the subject of Investing in Small Business: Jumpstarting the Engines of our Economy.
The roundtable was hosted by Chair Senator Landrieu (D-LA) and was attended by several other Senators including Senator Cardin. The event was televised live on C-SPAN.
Mr. Adams’ comments during the roundtable discussion included topics such as strengthening the SBA, revising SBA loan guidelines to ease the flow capital to small business, and the challenges that companies exiting the Small Business arena (mid-Tier firms) have in competing directly against billion dollar companies. His comments were well received by the committee and many follow-up discussions are planned in the near future.
