SA-TECH wins Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division's (NAWCWD's) Target Operations and Maintenance contract at Point Mugu and Port Hueneme, CA

 

Oxnard, CA, April 30, 2008 – SA-TECH is pleased to announce it was selected by the United States Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) to provide Target Operations and Maintenance at Point Mugu and Port Hueneme, CA. The contract is valued at $59 million over a five year period.

This selection demonstrates NAWCWD's confidence in SA-TECH's ability to perform the critical mission of battle group training for our front-line military personnel by providing both aerial and seaborne target operations and maintenance services. The addition of this contract when combined with our current operations and maintenance of the China Lake/Pt. Mugu Land and Sea Ranges, ensures that SA-TECH will continue to be a major contributor to the test and evaluation of naval weapons systems and combat readiness of the Navy Fleet.

SA-TECH's Program Manager for the effort is Mr. Jim Lewis, a former Navy Captain with over 15 years of direct experience with Navy target systems. In addition, SA-TECH will be supported by Kratos Defense & Security Solutions as a subcontractor on the effort.

The planned contract start date is May 19th, 2008.
