Derek Held

School: Washington State University
Major: Computer Science
Expected Date of Graduation: Spring 2011
Current Position at SA-TECH: Technical Analyst
Work Location: Oxnard

Provide a brief summary of educational goals:
My goal is to have a very good grasp on programming and software development to allow me to develop all kinds of applications on any platform.

Provide a brief summary of career goals:
My career goal is to own my own software development company that creates applications for educators and law enforcement.

What do you like best about working at SA-TECH?
The best about working at SA-TECH are all of the opportunities. I get to experience different aspects if working as a contractor and being able to have a positive impact on Remedy Development.

Michael McCatrey

School: University of Maryland Eastern Shore
Major: Computer Science

Current Position at SA-TECH: Computer Help Desk
Work Location: Corporate Headquarters

My educational goals include graduating with honors with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

My goal is to have a career in the Network Security field.

What do you like best about working at SA-TECH?
Gaining experience and working in a real business-like environment accomplishing tasks.

Michael Anders

School: Cal State University Bakersfield

Current Position at SA-TECH: Engineering Technician I

To gain the knowledge and the experience that will allow me to excel in my future career field. I also take pride in exceeding in college with honors and a high GPA of 3.8.

I plan to find a career that utilizes my education and also utilizes my skills and knowledge.

What do you like best about working at SA-TECH?
As a radar technician and operator I enjoy learning the operations side as well as the build up of the radar systems, because this provides me good technical experience. I also enjoy the people I work with.

Travis Lyon Miles

School: Cerro Coso Community College and Brigham Young University
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Expected Date of Graduation: 2016, 1 year Basic Ed, 2 years Mission, 5 years at BYU
Current Position at SA-TECH: Laborer
Work Location: Weapons Survivability Laboratory

Provide a brief summary of educational goals:
Continue my Basic Education at Cerro Coso for 1 year. Then spend 4 Years at either BYU Provo or Univ. of Nevada, Reno. I would like to obtain at least a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Provide a brief summary of career goals:
Obtain a college degree and work as a Mechanical Engineer.

What do you like best about working at SA-TECH?
I like the hours that I work and the “Flex Schedule.” There are friendly, upbeat workers. I get to watch other people work in fields that I might decide to go into. This is a good job during the summer to earn money and associate with base and contractor employees.

I get exercise working outside. I get paid well and have weekends off. I learn new things every day.
