3 November 2023.  For Operation Amped’s first-ever “fun-raiser”, SA-TECH donated $7,000 towards the purchase of a beach canopy, surfboards, leashes, wetsuits, rash guards, reef booties and other essential surfing supplies. This donation met about half of the organization’s annual fundraising goal. The San Diego-based non-profit organization promotes surf therapy to aid in the recovery of physically and mentally wounded and injured veterans and active-duty service members.

SA-TECH has supported Operation Amped since 2016 and has helped the volunteer-based organization continue its mission of “Surfing Those Who’ve Served” by sharing the “stoke” of the surfing community and the healing potential of surfing. “As a company, we have always supported our country’s brave warfighters, and Operation Amped exemplifies this spirit,” said Geoff DeZavala, SA-TECH SVP/COO. “Our collaboration with OA, and our continuing support of numerous other wounded veteran organizations, reminds us every day that freedom comes with sacrifice. It is our honor to do what we can for those who have given so much for our great country.”
