March 2018: Mr. Timothy Adams, SA-TECH President and CEO, was officially notified that his company either met, or exceeded, all quality procedural requirements, and has been successfully upgraded and certified into the international ISO 9001:2015 quality enhancement program. ISO 9000 is a family of standards for quality management systems. ISO 9000 is maintained by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization and is administered by sanctioned accreditation and certification bodies. The rules are updated, as the requirements motivate changes over time. Some of the requirements in ISO 9001:2015 (which is one of the standards in the ISO 9000 family) include:

  • A set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business
  • Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective
  • Keeping adequate records
  • Checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary
  • Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and
  • Facilitating continual improvement

Although these standards originated in manufacturing, they are now employed across several types of organizations. A “product”, in ISO vocabulary, can mean a physical object, services, or software. SA-TECH has continually been ISO Certified since February 10, 2010.

“I am extremely pleased our company reached this coveted milestone. Quality is a culture and ISO 9001:2015 is an important accreditation to achieve. This is absolutely essential for the maximum benefit of both our customers and employees alike. Without question, this certification will help us ensure our quality culture is, and will remain, embedded in our day-to-day efforts, and to ultimately exceed our customers’ quality expectations.”
